We recently stumbled upon a very interesting publication, The Jews and Asia: Old Societies and New Images. The publication, by the Asia Pacific Jewish Association and the World Jewish Congress, is actually the proceedings of the Second Asian-Jewish Colloquium held by the Asia Pacific Jewish Association in Hong Kong (March 1987).
In the opening remarks, Isi J. Liebler, the then Vice-President of World Jewish Congress and Chairman of the Asia Pacific Jewish Association, states, “Asia will become the fulcrum of global power in the decades ahead. The Jewish people, ever mindful of how their own destinies are bound up with history and world events, cannot ignore such change in the game of nations.”
This is a very interesting read though it is apparently not available online. It is unclear whether the proceedings of the First Asian-Jewish Colloquium were also published.
Here is a look at the Contents page for a better idea of the overall broad content, but the search continues.
